The Timber
The centre half of the tree is a light brownish-red, the outer heartwood resembles American White Oak. A bicolour grade, containing both heart colours, is thus also available. The sapwood is a white-grey colour. The grain is coarse with occasional large wormholes but appears not to be prone to pinholes.

Drying
Dries moderately fast, with a risk of checking.
