Life Cycle Costing (LCC) is a cost analysis method that calculates the total cost of a product over its entire life, including acquisition, operation, maintenance, and disposal. The costs evaluated during the LCC process are diverse and comprehensive, including the initial investment, ongoing operating expenses, replacement costs, and eventual disposal costs.
The goal of the analysis is to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of the product, providing businesses with a more complete understanding of a product’s lifetime costs. This enables informed decisions about product design, procurement, and management.
