Summary
Volumes of the main timber and panel products imports in Q1 2024 slipped back against Q1 2023, down by 6.2%.
A period of price stability has returned to timber imports with average prices subject to significantly less fluctuation than was experienced in 2022 and 2023.
In Q1 2024, solid wood imports were 8% lower than in Q1 2023 and imports of panel products were 3% lower.
