The publication will guide you in words and pictures through the key considerations in the early stages of designing and constructing a CLT building.

It gives you an insight into different building systems, their advantages and disadvantages, and when they are most appropriate. The publication gives you rules of thumb for dimensions and thicknesses and for the const ruction of walls, ceilings and floors. It also provides tips on what to consider f or water, heating and sanitary piping, stabilisation against horizontal wind loads, ground floor design and foundation design. In addition, the publication gives examples of possibilities and limitations in terms of construction, architecture and production.

The publication has been produced jointly by the industry organisation Swedish Wood, the architectural firm Arkemi and the Swedish CLT manufacturers Martinsons, Setra and Södra.
