Environment Minister Mary Creagh CBE MP talks on the ‘triple win’ of building with timber, and why the Timber in Construction Roadmap is important to the future of the UK.
At the Timber in Construction Summit in London on 27 February 2025, we were lucky enough to interview the Minister, who launched the roadmap then as part of the government’s Plan for Change.
Today we’re sharing this video, alongside a newsletter with short updates from the Chairs of our seven working groups to highlight the progress on this vital collaboration between Government and industry.
Since this event, more than 150 people and organisations have been actively collaborating to move forward the dial and ensure that timber is able to contribute to the UK’s housing and climate goals.
Many thanks to those already actively collaborating with us to move forward this exciting new initiative.
