Supply Chain Sustainability and Compliance Manager Opening

Timber Development UK, the UK’s largest trade association for the timber supply chain, is seeking a new Supply Chain Sustainability and Compliance Manager.

This role is designed to help member companies navigate the increasingly complex world of supply chain and sustainability regulations and requirements. The role is focused on the UK market but given the global nature of the timber trade will also encompass supply chain requirements around the world.

The Supply Chain Sustainability and Compliance Manager will be responsible for:

  • Organising and setting the agenda for The Responsible Sourcing Committee
  • Overseeing the development of and compliance with the TDUK Responsible Sourcing Policies
  • Ensuring members are kept up to date and informed about all aspects of supply chain and trade regulation including UK Timber Regulation, EU Desforestation Regulation, CITES, UK and EU Construction Products Regulation, Extended Producer Responsibility and packaging issues, phytosanitary and import regulations, and other issues as they arise.
  • Ensuring members are kept up to date and informed about voluntary schemes including FSC, PEFC, and Grown in Britain Certification, FLEGT, Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI), and other initiatives.
  • Develop tools, training and guidance for member companies
  • Answer member queries and be main point of contact for supply chain enquiries

Candidates should have a working knowledge of the building products sector, due diligence requirements for timber importers, and an understanding of wider sustainability reporting and compliance requirements.

TDUK operates from a central London office, but this role can be offered on flexible or hybrid conditions.

The Supply Chain Sustainability and Compliance Manager will report to CEO David Hopkins
