Tim Martell, AECB carbon calculator developer

When: Tuesday 14 February 2023, 1 – 2 pm

Where: Online via Zoom meetings to enable questions

Who should attend: TDUK members who want to understand how to calculate carbon – architects, engineers, specifiers, quantity surveyors, clients, manufacturers, lecturers…

The AECB carbon calculator is an excel based tool that will enable TDUK members to work out an embodied carbon figure for their assemblies or sub-assemblies that are made up from several other products that have EPD’s. The output from the AECB carbon calculator can be passed on to your client, for inclusion within their whole life carbon assessment.

Non-members can register to this webinar by creating a non-members account here.

This webinar builds on the work of the Timber Industry Net Zero Roadmap.

TDUK members will receive 15% of the carbon tool via a coupon code.

For example:

A timber frame wall panel may consist of – studs, headers and footers, sheathing boards, vapour barriers, breather membranes, insulation and fasteners, etc. each of these items will have a separate embodied carbon figure.

By inputting the quantity of each item which you select from the extensive product library, you can quickly calculate the embodied carbon of your wall panel.
