In the final session of the 2024 series of designTimber webinars we learn from the multidisciplinary team behind the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS).


About this event:

The NMIS headquarters pushes the technical and aesthetic capabilities of engineered timber, creating an inspirational learning environment with a unique structural identity.

Dramatic glulam columns, a diagrid roof and panoramic glazing produce an emblematic architectural statement for the facility, exemplifying NMIS’ values of innovation and sustainability.

This impressive mass timber project is presented by architects Adam McAvoy and Ross A Barrett from HLM Architects, eningeer Steve Peet from Engenuiti and timber frame specialist Alex Brock from B&K Structures.
