OPSS Timber Workshop

OPSS is organising in-person Timber workshops on 10 & 31 October 2023, 10:00– 14:00 at OPSS’s Teddington office.

When: Tuesday 10 & 31 October 2023, 10am – 2pm

Where: Office for Product Safety and Standards, Department for Business and Trade, Stanton Avenue, Teddington, TW11 0JZ .

“The OPSS Timber team are running this unique workshop to discuss how we can work together with the industry, trade associations and sector leads to improve compliance with the UK Timber Regulations. The focus of this workshop will be different to our Timber Expert Panel meetings as we are keen to collaborate and enhance our communication and working relationship with you. This workshop is part of our key strategies to support a level playing field where businesses can be supported to grow and innovate. We believe the session will be a great opportunity to share ideas and best practice. We will also aim to answer your questions on due diligence and emerging trends.

We are keen that we talk to as many businesses in the trade as possible so please do invite any new colleagues who you think would benefit from engaging with us and being part of the conversation and change.

A buffet lunch will be provided, as well as refreshments throughout the day. Please advise prior to the workshop if you have any dietary requirements and/or any accessibility issues.

There will be parking available on site, attendees will need to report to the NPL reception initially to obtain a visitor pass. Should for any reason there not be enough parking on site, Gloucester Road, opposite our site usually has spaces available.”

This invitation is open to businesses. If anyone would like to attend, please email company name and name of colleagues attending to Xiao Ma by 7 September 2023. You can also contact Matthew.Burns@beis.gov.uk at OPSS directly to register.

Please note that there might be limited space available.
