
#TDChallenge23 Judging & Awards Ceremony
Timber Development UK invite you to join them at the new Centre for Advanced Timber Technology at NMITE’s Skylon Campus, Hereford for the live finals of the 2023 interdisciplinary design challenge.
This challenge has seen students from across the UK studying built environment courses come together to retrofit and extend an existing timber building – the Cricket Pavilion in Hereford, so that it can meet the needs of the community, be low in carbon and produce more energy than it consumes.
When:
Friday 14 July 2023 from 11.30 am to 20.00 pm
Where:
NMITE’s Skylon Campus, Canary Drive, Skylon View, Rotherwas North, Hereford, HR2 6ST
Travel options:
- Car – free parking on-site with electric charging points available.
- Train – Hereford Station is 1.5 miles from the campus – from here walk, taxi or bike.

- 14.15 to 16.15 the shortlisted entries
- 16.30 to 17.30 tour of the CATT facilities
- 17.30 to 18.00 the Awards
- 18.00 to 20.00 celebration and BBQ
The Challenge:
Retrofit is essential; It’s not easy, it’s far more challenging than new-build, and it takes a team of knowledgeable caring professionals to accomplish schemes that work.
We need our future professionals to understand the complexity and embrace the constraints and challenges.
