Events Terms and Conditions

About these Terms

These terms and conditions (the Terms) apply when you book to attend a training course, workshop, conference, seminar, meeting, or other event, including virtual events held by TDUK. These terms do not cover dinner bookings. When you book to attend an event, you will be agreeing to comply with these Terms as well as the code of conduct for the event. Please read these Terms carefully before you complete a booking.

Please note that some events may be subject to additional or alternative terms and conditions. Where this is the case, this will be made clear on or before you book to attend the event. Please read those additional or alternative terms carefully.

Our events

Although we will use reasonable efforts to accurately describe the content of our events, such descriptions are intended only to give an approximate idea of the event. We reserve the right to amend an event programme at any time before, or during, the event. We also reserve the right to cancel an event or any booking.

We do not have control over any links shared during an event, and we accept no liability for the content presented at an event.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to any event or to remove a delegate from an event or block access to an online event platform without any liability for any reason and at our sole discretion.

It is your responsibility to comply with all instructions given at the event and to comply with all applicable laws, including health and safety laws, fire regulations and any codes of conduct for wi-fi access.

When attending an event, you agree to behave in a respectful, professional and appropriate way, in accordance with the event code of conduct, and observe the rules, policies and procedures of the event venue, together with any reasonable instructions issued by us or the management of the venue.

Your booking

Submitting an event booking does not guarantee you a place at any of our events, as bookings are made on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved. We will issue an email confirmation of your booking request. Your place at the event is not guaranteed until you have received an email from us confirming your place is booked.

If we cannot accept your booking, we will let you know by email and refund any payment made.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the information you provide to us during the booking process is complete and accurate.

You will receive joining instructions confirming timing and venues once your booking has been processed. If you have not received this one week prior to the event, please contact us. Prior to contacting us, please ensure you have checked your email inbox as well as your spam and junkmail, just in case the joining instructions have been sent to these inboxes.

Payment of the attendance fee (where applicable)

The attendance fee for the event will be shown before, and at the time, of booking the event. The price shown is inclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

We will normally issue you with an invoice for the attendance fee prior to the event. Payment of the attendance fee must be made by bank transfer. If you experience difficulties with making payment, please contact our events team.

Payment shall be due strictly in accordance with our standard invoice terms (thirty days from date of invoice, or seven days prior to the commencement of the event, whichever is sooner). If payment is not received in line with the terms stated, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and release all places for resale. You will be informed of any impending cancellation of your booking in good time.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations received in writing more than one month but less than 3 months before the event, will be subject to a 50% administration fee. No refunds will be made for cancellations less than one month prior to the event or for non-attendance. If cancellation by the attendee is prior to 3 months before the event – the delegate shall be entitled to a refund of fees paid less 10% administration fee. Substitutions received in writing can be made at any time provided that the substitute attendee meets any applicable eligibility criteria.

We reserve the right at any time and without prior warning to change the venue of the event and/or Speakers. We also reserve the right in our absolute discretion, to cancel your booking where we need to do so due to circumstances outside of our control (including, but not limited to, situations where sufficient numbers have not booked for the event or the speakers are unavailable or cancel the event or if you are more than 30 days in arrears with any payment due to us, or if it may prejudice our reputation). We shall have no liability for losses or costs which you may incur due to such cancellation, but we shall refund your booking payment (in full as soon as possible). You have the choice of accepting the refund or a credit note.

We will usually refund any money received from you using the same method originally used by you to pay for your purchase but reserve the right to refund using an alternative method.

If you fail to attend the dinner and have not given us prior notice, then you shall not be entitled to any refund or credit note.

A waiver by us of any default shall not constitute a waiver of any subsequent default.

If any of the terms and conditions or any provision of the Contract is determined by a competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent then such term, condition or provision will be severed from the remaining terms, conditions or provisions will continue to be valid to the fullest extent under law.
