Get PaintReady with primed stairparts

Richard Burbidge has launched a primed collection of stairparts that it says will help tradespeople provide a better finish in less time.

A family run business, Richard Burbidge is a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of timber products such as stairparts, mouldings and decking accessories. The brand’s latest collection introduces a full range of PaintReady stairparts, which arrive ready for fitting, with no sanding, filling or priming needed.

The ready primed products provide a cost-effective and time-saving solution for staircase renovations, with a new water-based primer which all helps to give a smoother, faster finish. This includes all 32mm and 41mm plain and top chamfer styles, handrails, baserails, 90mm newels, as well as a variety of caps, including the brand’s latest product additions, the new shadow caps.

Available in Radiata Pine, keeping in line with Richard Burbidge’s sustainable values, the timber is FSC certified and has been strength tested for Domestic Regulations. The product has also been independently tested by FIRA and conforms with Building Regulations for balustrades at 900mm high and 0.36kN/m domestic loadings.

The collection has the added benefit of requiring less time on site due to the little preparation required and a higher quality in the finish. The company estimates just one less day to install and finish the job. The products are coated with a super smooth water-based primer to provide the perfect surface for paint and final finishing. This means no sanding, filling or priming is required.

It can also be mixed and matched with other collections from the full Richard Burbidge range, including mixing natural oak with painted stairparts.

Zoe Goff, Product Manager at Richard Burbidge, said: “Our new PaintReady collection is a great option for those looking for a cost-effective staircase renovation. We are really pleased to bring these ready primed products to the market to deliver exactly what the customer and consumers wants – less time on site, no sanding, no filling and no priming, providing a faster and smoother finish.”
