Have your say: survey on circular wood use in the timber industry

Developing better uses for home-grown and reclaimed timber is a core topic for most European regions. Timber demand is expected to rise to around 170% of current global demand by 2050, while domestic softwood availability is expected to decline dramatically over the coming two decades. This exposes our industry to increased competition over raw material.

The panel board industry has largely embraced a new economic reality and is developing processes to make best use of reclaimed fibre. Yet, there is little evidence of circular wood use in other timber products.

Wood Knowledge Wales would love to know your thoughts on the circular economy in the context of your organisation. Please fill in this very short online survey at https://forms.office.com/e/RKfbRxbmSY
