Without suitable pre-treatment, timber facades change in appearance and weather significantly over time. Resulting in varying degrees of greying which can look unsightly due to the vast colour differences between each elevation.

TEKNOCLAD SILVER counters this effect. TEKNOCLAD SILVER provides timber surfaces with an even, natural grey tone from installation which erodes overtime and encourages a harmonious transition to natural greying and thereby defines the appearance of the facade from the beginning.

TEKNOCLAD SILVER is a water based, open-pore and thin-film system with a modern formulation based on natural raw materials. The emulsion penetrates deep into the wood and provides long-lasting protection against moisture and dimensional changes.

TEKNOCLAD SILVER also acts as a protective coating, providing excellent moisture protection to reduce expansion and contraction of timber. TEKNOCLAD SILVER also includes a preservative as part of the coating system specification, protecting the timber from wood destroying and wood discolouring fungi (black spore).

TEKNOCLAD SILVER is designed to erode naturally with exposure depending on a range of factors such as the species, surface finish, building design and cardinal direction. Requiring no maintenance unless it is preferred by the customer to maintain a particular aesthetic.
