About the product

Created from heat tempered (thermally modified) rapidly renewable Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) certified New Zealand Radiata, and available in a smooth dressed surface, Abodo Vulcan Smooth Decking will create a natural, inviting exterior space for your home.

To further the stability of the wood, it is graded with semi-vertical grain orientation and is treated with a low VOC organic preservative system (OPX) that includes a water repellent, resulting in superior durability.

Due to Abodo’s unique heat tempering process, Vulcan Smooth Decking has a reduced equilibrium moisture content which increases its stability. This process also enhances the finish of the timber, which has a beautiful, homogeneous brown colour.

Carbon Storage
Each square metre of Abodo’s Vulcan solid timber is proven to store 7.56kg+ of carbon, more than twice the carbon emitted during the manufacturing process. This means carbon is essentially locked in the wood during its useful life.
