Summary

Hanson Plywood Ltd operate primarily in the import, storage, sales and distribution of sustainable, wood-based panel products. The business stocks a wide range of unique and specialist panels in addition to readily available commodity products.

Hanson are committed to becoming a net zero business and are currently finalising their full sustainability strategy in terms of net zero targets; pending completion of an assessment of their full Scope 3 emissions.

Key Information

Hanson Plywood have partnered with a UK- based organisation called Planet Mark who help businesses reduce carbon emissions and achieve net zero targets, and as such offer environmental certifications, sustainability consulting and community events and insights.

They have set up an internal sustainability committee and are driving carbon reduction in the business in a number of ways, including installing solar panels on warehouse roofs to generate their own renewable electricity; electrifying their fleet; reducing and recycling waste; cutting down on paper use; and other measures.
