Summary

Lignoloc® is a shootable nailing system made from laminated European beech wood. It was conceived as a circular, metal-free solution for timber construction companies aiming to realize their projects in a more sustainable way.

By making nails out of wood, it rethinks fastening technology – taking a sustainable, traditional fastening method and advancing it to meet contemporary construction requirements.

The wooden nails have a thermal conductivity of just 0.64W/mK, helping to prevent thermal bridging.
Key Information

The nails may be used in timber frame construction, mass timber construction, wooden facades, interior wood cladding, OSB-based construction, furniture, fences and other uses.

Lignoloc® was subjected to a life cycle assessment (LCA) by the Nova Institute (an independant research institute and consultancy), which found it reduces CO₂ emissions by 66% compared to a comparable steel nail system.
