Exova BM TRADA first published a research summary based on the research work presented and discussed at the International Network of Timber Engineering Research (INTER) in 2014, when the research group changed its name from the long-held CIB-W18.

Thomas and Sally Beevor gave a simple brief to Neil Winder of StudioMGM Architects. They wanted a new house to retire to.
It needed to have a downstairs master bedroom, should accommodate their interests and most importantly must use as much timber as possible from the estate sawmill.

This three-form entry primary school uses cross laminated timber to create a flexible learning environment, built to impressive sustainability standards. Prioritising wellbeing and adaptability through the creation of fluid, multiuse spaces, the design by dRMM emphasises the social and environmental benefits of timber from start to finish.
