Summary

The Construction Products Regulation (CPR) came into force on 1 July 2013. From this date, wood and wood-based products destined for the construction market and covered by a Harmonised European Standard (hEN) or European Technical Approval (ETA) were required to declare their performance characteristics via CE Marking to be placed on the UK and EU construction products markets.

Globally, much has changed since 2013. But while compliance with the CPR for wood products has not radically changed, many within the supply chain and construction sector have lost sight of what the CPR means for our products. This guidance is intended to remind everyone where we stand today and the obligations that sit with each element of the supply chain.
