Summary
A stronger end to the year saw volumes of the main timber and panel products imports move marginally higher in 2024 compared to 2023, up by 0.5%.
Import volumes in the final quarter of 2024 were 13.1% higher than a year earlier in Q4 2023.
Import volume growth has steadily improved since the quarterly low of 36.9% in Q3 2022 of 36.9%.
A feature of 2024 has been the shifting emphasis in sources of supply for many timber and panel products.
