Import volumes started 2024 lower than in January 2023, down by 45,000m³ which was around 6% lower. 

The 6% reduction in volume at the beginning of 2024 confirms the greater stability in the market compared to the high levels of increase and decrease from 2020 to the end of 2022. 

Despite the volatility of recent years and the subdued start to 2024, the longer-term trend of UK timber and panel product imports remains upward.
