Imports of the main timber and panel products in the first five months of 2023 were 8% lower than over the same period in 2022. However, the month of May 2023 has been comparatively strong and has witnessed a number of areas which are outperforming many others.

Solid wood imports over the first five months of 2023 were 8% lower than over the same period in 2022 and imports of panel products were 9% lower.
