NEW: ONS UK CPI Inflation (October 2024):
UK CPI inflation rose from 1.7% in September, which was a three-year low and below the Bank of England’s 2.0% target rate for the first time since April 2021, to 2.3% in October. This was marginally higher than the 2.2% rise expected by financial market analysts surveyed by Reuters beforehand.
