Summary
The National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) published its Infrastructure Progress Review for 2023 covering Digital, Transport, Energy, Floods resilience, Water and Waste. It is especially worth noting that the NIC stated the UK government is unlikely to meet its targets for 600,000 heat pump installations per year by 2028 (from 55,000 in 2021) and 1.0 million installations per year by 2030.
The NIC also highlighted that the UK government is also unlikely to meet its Electric Vehicles (EV) chargers target for “300,000 public chargers as a minimum by 2030”.
