TDUK sponsors Timber Trader of the Year at the TTJ Awards

Who is going to be crowned this year’s Timber Trader of the Year at the TTJ Awards?

Voting in this year’s TTJ Awards – the annual search for the best-performing UK timber industry companies – runs until June 19.

The Awards – to be held at the Hilton London Bankside on 20 September – will be the 28th annual TTJ Awards and spans both voted and judged categories to reward excellence across the timber industries.

The Timber Trader of the Year category, sponsored by Timber Development UK (TDUK), is awarded to the best all-rounder in the trade which supplies a full range of timber products to timber buyers. It is the top award at the TTJ Awards.

Long-time sponsor TDUK is the largest timber supply chain body, and its mission is to connect the supply chain, lead best practice and accelerate a low-carbon future.

Typically, the winner of the TTJ Timber Trader of the Year needs to exhibit good levels of customer service, value for money, excellent delivery service, product range and quality of products.

“Timber product buyers have this unique chance to vote for their best-performing suppliers in this year’s Awards,” said TTJ Editor Stephen Powney. “There is always a sense of anticipation as to who is going to win the gold award – the coveted Timber Trader of the Year. If you’re a timber company, have your customers voted for you and given their seal of approval?”

Buyers of wood products, such as builders, contractors, merchants, wood product manufacturers, landscapers and architects, can nominate their best performing suppliers in an online voting portal.

Voters can also nominate companies in the following categories:

  • Panel Products
  • Softwood (Sawmiller)
  • Softwood (Importer)
  • Hardwood
  • Joinery
  • Structural Timber Systems
  • Merchanting
  • Garden Products.

Companies also enter Judged Categories covering marketing, merchanting development, innovation, career development and environmental achievement, with the deadline for entries being 21 June.
