About the project

In Sistrans, an enchanting Austrian village that seems to have come out of a fairy tale, Peter and Sofia, an expert mountain guide and a lyric soprano and singing teacher, have chosen Rubner Haus for their home, built with care, beauty and harmony, in line with the place where they live.

Wood has a fundamental role and plays with the shape and essence of the house: the exteriors are a stony grey, which at night reflects the shine of the moon becoming silvery, while the interiors have a warm, luminous and brilliant heart, of light wood, in all rooms, and also in the doors and windows, in the staircase and in the balconies which welcome the landscape with curiosity and respect.

A harmonious counterpoint made of welcoming spaces that resonate and alternate, between inside and outside, in a melody of lines and shapes that gives peace and lives in respect of its surroundings.
