NWTTA Student Design Awards 2026
On 24th June 2026 at the iconic Liver Building in Liverpool, the North West Timber Trade Association will hold a Members meeting, followed by a networking lunch and exhibition, and culminating in the Annual Student Awards for the use of Timber in Architecture ceremony!

With six North West Schools of Architecture taking part, the competition aims to reward students’ design projects which best integrates timber to achieve structural innovation, beauty, and sustainability. Prizes will be presented at an awards lunch event to be held on Wednesday 24th June at The Liver Building, Liverpool alongside industry professionals.
Judged criteria
The projects at all levels will be judged on the following criteria.
- Demonstrated Innovation
- Demonstrated understanding of materials used
- Beauty communicated in drawings/models
- Sustainability demonstrated in annotations
