To observe a member for their outstanding contributions to their region, as acknowledged by their association peers. Nominated by the regional chairman and committees.
Nick’s & Co (Timber) Ltd has been importing timber through Gloucester for more than 168 years and can claim to be Gloucester’s longest established independent business. Founded by William Nicks, it has remained essentially a family concern through five generations. Throughout this time, they have been tireless supporters of the timber industry – a tradition carried through by Phil McCormick, as owner and managing director of Nicks & Co today.
Nick’s & Co (Timber) Ltd is an active supporter of all activities in the Western Timber Trade Association (WTTA), and a driving force in the region for the timber industry. This has included Phil stepping up to Chair the WTTA on several different occasions, as well as to chair the TDUK Education and Training Board.
For their tireless work, Nick’s & Co (Timber) Ltd was nominated and recognised for the TDUK Regional Member of the Year 2023.
