‘Grown in Britain’ Homes

About the project
Beautiful, energy efficient, and constructed entirely from local wood, these South Gloucestershire homes display what can be achieved with British timber.
These lightweight timber frame homes incorporate a bespoke closed cell modular timber panel system, using UK timber together with locally sourced natural insulation including lambswool and woodfibre.
Brimstone Cladding (Ash) adorned the exterior of the homes, allowing the homes to be made entirely from UK timber, inside and out.
From developers/contractors Veya Homes, and designed by architects Mitchell Eley Gould, they are the first homes to be certified ‘Grown in Britain’ – the UK’s certification scheme for homegrown timber.
These homes are high quality and sustainable, built to be carbon and energy efficient to provide an excellent experience for residents.
