About the product
Abodo, previously known as Imbue, is crafted from clear, knot-free Radiata Pine. This timber undergoes a unique thermal modification process using only heat and steam, resulting in a beautiful, class 1 durable material.
The thermal process caramelises the sugars in the timber, giving it a rich chocolate brown colour. However, if left untreated, Abodo begins to fade to a silvery grey within 8 months.
Thanks to its thermal modification, Abodo serves as an ideal substrate for factory coatings. These coatings can last up to twice as long as those applied to non-modified timbers.
We offer a natural, invisible coating that maintains the timber’s original colour for 3-5 years before recoating becomes necessary. Alternatively, we can apply RAL colour-matched coatings that provide 8-10 years between recoating.
Our in-house capabilities allow us to provide Abodo in various shapes, sizes, surface textures, and factory-coated colours, all available at set lengths.
