Summary
The Autumn Statement unsurprisingly focused on short-term measures for both working households, such as cut in the National Insurance rate from 12% to 10% and rise in the National Living Wage, and businesses, such as the extension of ‘Full Expensing’, given a General Election next year (see CPA Weekly Notes Special), rather than investment in construction for long-term growth.
