Three months on, much has changed for the industry. Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine likely means that timber supplies will remain tight for the rest of the year, and this, along with the rising costs of fuel, shipping and energy, will keep prices high for at least as long. It goes without saying that our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine, and that any inconveniences the timber supply chain experiences as a result of the war are minor in comparison.
