The volume of total construction output in February rose by 2.4% compared with January on a seasonally adjusted basis according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), partly due to it bouncing back after the rain-affected early January in which output fell by 1.7%.
Construction output in February was 5.7% (£845 million) higher than a year ago, 6.2% higher than in January 2020, pre-pandemic, and at its highest monthly level on record according to ONS (the ONS monthly data only go back to 2010).
