Opaque coatings are systems that completely hide the underlying wood grain, texture and colour, creating a uniform finish. Unlike translucent or semi-transparent coatings, opaque systems form a solid colour on the timber that conceals the timber’s natural tones.

Our opaque coatings can be pre-selected from a range of colour charts such as RAL, NCS and British Standard, with a colour match service also available for specific applications.

The coating system build up is dependent on a range of factors such as the timber species, building design, profile and surface finish. Our dedicated specification team are here to assist in building the most suitable specification for your application and project requirements.
