The EU Timber Regulation is being replaced by the European Deforestation Regulation for wood and wood products entering the EU market. This will place additional responsibilities on some companies who wish to sell wood products to the EU.

Most merchants will not need to make changes unless they or their customers are exporting wood or wood products out to the EU. However, anyone moving or selling stocks of wood products from GB to outlets or customers in Northern Ireland will need to watch out.
